Police arrest suspect after robbery in Heckmondwike, West Yorkshire

A robbery took place between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. on 26 July in a house on Leeds Old Road, Heckmondwike. During the incident a man in his twenties was assaulted and a blank‑firing firearm was discharged outside the property. West Yorkshire Police investigated the case and arrested a 35‑year‑old man on suspicion of assisting an offender. The suspect was taken into custody the night after the robbery.
