Police arrest suspect in Etawah encounter and expose fake doctor gang in Rajasthan

In Etawah, Uttar Pradesh, police arrested Anuj Shakya, a suspect wanted for snatching incidents, following an encounter with the Bharthana police. During the confrontation, Shakya allegedly opened fire on the police, who returned fire, resulting in a gunshot wound to the suspect's leg. Police recovered an illegal firearm, cartridges, a motorcycle, and cash. Shakya, a resident of Mainpuri, reportedly has 33 criminal cases filed against him across various districts, including charges of robbery, theft, and violations of the Arms Act.

In Rajasthan, the Special Operation Group (SOG) dismantled a gang of individuals practicing medicine using fake degrees. Among those arrested are Pankaj Yadav and Nanji Ram Chaudhary. Investigations revealed that Yadav, who reportedly only completed eighth grade, worked at a hospital for four years before allegedly purchasing the facility and performing surgeries alongside doctors. The SOG has filed FIRs against seven others as they continue to investigate the source of the fraudulent medical credentials and the extent of the gang's operations.
