Police arrest suspect in Ivanjica murder and investigate child shooter in Obrenovac

In the village of Opaljenik near Ivanjica, a 41-year-old man, identified as Mile P., was found dead in his bed with two gunshot wounds to the head. Local reports suggest the victim had been seen in a tavern the previous night, where an argument allegedly occurred involving the suspect. Following a 10-hour police search, a suspect was apprehended in the vicinity of Arilje.

In a separate incident near Obrenovac, 25-year-old Milan Ranković was shot and wounded by the 10-year-old son of an acquaintance, Slavko O. The victim stated the conflict arose from a dispute regarding firewood and previous accusations of physical altercations. Ranković claims that during a meeting in a church courtyard, Slavko O. pushed him and instructed his son to “shoot.”

Slavko O. has been arrested on charges of incitement to attempted murder. The 10-year-old boy has been removed from his family by the Center for Social Work in Ub and placed in a specialized facility for psychological evaluation and diagnostics.
