Police arrest suspects in separate murder investigations in India

In Patna, Bihar, police and the Special Task Force (STF) engaged in an encounter with Saurabh Kumar, the primary suspect in the murder of businessman Anjani Kumar. The confrontation occurred on Kalyan Bigha Road in the Bakhtiyarpur police station area. During the exchange, Kumar sustained a gunshot wound to his leg, and female Sub-Inspector Pooja Kumari was also injured. Authorities recovered two weapons, two magazines, and 14 bullets at the scene. Kumar is accused of accepting a 20 lakh rupee contract to carry out the killing.

In Bharatpur, Rajasthan, police arrested three additional suspects in connection with the murder of former legislator Atar Singh Bhadana. The detainees, identified as Danveer, Balram (alias Pappu), and Rajo (alias Raju), include an individual carrying a 5,000 rupee bounty. This latest development brings the total number of arrests in the Bhondagaon case to 22. Investigations suggest the murder was a planned conspiracy involving the spread of false rumors to incite a crowd near the victim's mine.
