The individual, who had been the subject of previous police searches, was caught after attempting to grab a phone from a car window. The Talagante Guarantee Court has ordered his preventive detention.

In Panama, a judge has ordered the provisional detention of a man allegedly linked to a criminal structure known as the 'Mafia Filipina' (MF). The individual faces charges of gang involvement and crimes against collective security. The court cited risks to the community and the potential for evidence tampering as reasons for the measure. The defense has announced an appeal, with a hearing scheduled for August 25.
