Police arrest three drug gang members in Poxoréu, Brazil

The Military Police in the Brazilian city of Poxoréu seized seven tablets of marijuana, additional portions of the drug, 19 nine‑millimetre ammunition rounds and a cash amount of R$ 550 after arresting three men linked to a criminal faction. The operation began after an anonymous tip about a red Uno used for drug transport. During the stop, police found two tablets in the vehicle and the driver, a nervous suspect, disclosed that he distributed the drugs for the faction. Further investigations led officers to a residence where they recovered six concealed portions of marijuana and four tablets, and to a third suspect who attempted to destroy a mobile phone before being detained. All three individuals were taken to the Civil Police for processing.

The coordinated raid highlights ongoing efforts by Brazilian authorities to combat drug trafficking and illegal firearms in the Mato Grosso region.
