Police Arrest Three Suspects in Tangerang Selatan ATM Robbery
On July 30, 2026, three men attempted to steal cash by attaching illegal devices to two BCA ATMs inside the Buah Hati Hospital in Pamulang, South Tangerang, Indonesia. The operation, known locally as “ganjal,” involved jamming the machines, waiting for customers, and then seizing cards to empty accounts.
Local police, led by Kapolres Boy Jumalolo and Kapolsek Pamulang Galuh Pebri Saputra, intervened after the suspects were spotted by residents. The suspects were chased, subdued, and taken into custody. One ATM was damaged, two devices were confiscated, along with two motorcycles, a BCA ATM card, and two knives. All three perpetrators are now in police custody pending further investigation.
