Police arrest two minors in San Juan for taxi robbery

The Dominican National Police arrested two minors, aged 15 and 17, in San Juan de la Maguana for their alleged involvement in a taxi robbery. The incident occurred on September 20, 2026, in the Los Cartones sector of Los Mina, Santo Domingo Este.

Authorities identified the suspects through surveillance footage and a video circulated on Instagram. During the arrest in the Córbano Norte sector, officers recovered two mobile phones belonging to the victim: a cream-colored BOLD K12 and a purple Samsung device.

Investigators are currently seeking a third individual, identified by the alias ‘Pichón,’ believed to be linked to the crime. The two minors will be transferred to authorities in Santo Domingo Este to face legal proceedings.
