Police arrest wanted suspect Kamaruddin in Gonda, Uttar Pradesh

On August 1, police and the Special Operation Group (SOG) in Gonda district, Uttar Pradesh, carried out a joint operation that resulted in the arrest of a wanted accused identified as Kamaruddin alias Kachane. During the encounter the suspect fired at officers, was hit in the leg, and was taken to the district hospital for treatment.

The team, led by SP Vinita Jaiswal, also recovered a tamacha, a cartridge and a motorcycle from the scene. Kamaruddin faces multiple charges, including attempted murder, violations under the Gawnah Prevention Act and the Arms Act. Police said the crackdown on criminal elements in the district will continue.
