Mexico Coast Guard Seizes 1.5 Tonnes of Cocaine and Detains Five
Mexican naval forces intercepted a small craft off the Chiapas coast, confiscating more than 1.5 tonnes of cocaine (about 1 530 kg) and arresting five crew members. In Madrid, a camp monitor was arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting two young girls. In Castilla‑La Mancha, a sextortion ring targeting victims through fake sexual‑service ads was busted, leading to seven arrests and investigations into 21 suspects. A cryptocurrency scam operating from a Catalan office affected 58 victims, with losses approaching €1 million.
Other incidents included a bike‑theft gang in Murcia (three arrests), a robbery of bicycles and scooters in San Pedro del Pinatar (three arrests), and a series of violent crimes in Ecuador, Paraguay and India, each resulting in arrests and weapon seizures.
