The Lagos State Police Command, through the Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV), partnered with the Apapa Iganmu Local Council Development Area to hold a sensitisation programme for transport operators, traders and other stakeholders. Commissioner of Police CP Tijani Fatai and Area Commander ACP Onyinyechi Onwuamaegbu urged participants to shun drug abuse, cultism and election violence, and to support police by reporting criminal activity.
In Anambra State, a high‑powered POCACOV delegation led by National Coordinator SP Orvenonne Ikwen visited the state, meeting the Secretary to the State Government, traditional rulers and civil‑society groups. The team discussed strengthening partnerships to combat cultism, drug abuse, cybercrime and violent extremism, with input from Assistant Inspector‑General Miller Gajere Dantawaye and Commissioner Ikioye Orutugu. State officials praised the initiative as a proactive, people‑oriented approach to crime prevention.
