Police chase after attempted homicide continues in Antirrio, Greece

Intensive police operations are underway to locate a man who fled after a high‑speed chase that began in Korinthos and ended in the Antirrio area of Aetolia‑Acarnania. The suspect, previously linked to a luggage‑theft incident in Megara, drove a vehicle that collided with two police units blocking the western entrance of Antirrio, prompting the officers to fire at the car’s tires to immobilise it. The driver abandoned the car and escaped on foot, prompting a coordinated search by forces from Achaia, Aetolia‑Acarnania and Patras.

Authorities have opened a case for attempted homicide based on the collision with the police vehicles. The investigation is ongoing, with police widening searches throughout the wider Nafpaktia region to apprehend the suspect.
