Police Chief Listyo Sigit Prabowo urges industrial harmony in Indonesia

Indonesian National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has called for industrial harmony to ensure national progress, emphasizing the need for an equilibrium between corporate profitability and worker welfare. Speaking at a Grand Consolidation event for the Federation of Indonesian Metal Workers' Unions (FSPMI) in the MM2100 Industrial Estate, Bekasi, Sigit highlighted that business continuity and employee rights are mutually reinforcing interests.

Sigit expressed appreciation for recent dialogues between labor unions and the Indonesian Employers Association (Apindo) regarding the Job Creation Bill (RUU Ciptaker). He noted that while differences in perspective between employers and employees are natural, industrial relations should be resolved through deliberation and consensus. He urged business owners to view workers as strategic partners and integral assets rather than mere production elements to foster a stable investment environment.
