Police Civil arrests two suspects in Natal for fraud and home robbery

Police Civil in Natal arrested a man accused of defrauding an elderly victim of approximately R$ 175,000. investigators say the suspect persuaded the senior to take multiple payroll loans, kept a commission of over 70%, and transferred large sums from the victim's account. He had previously been jailed for a similar scam that caused about R$ 500,000 in losses. After being located, he was taken to the police station and placed in custody.

In a separate case, a 20‑year‑old man was detained by Police Civil for his alleged role in an armed home robbery in the Neópolis neighborhood of Natal. The robbery, carried out on 8 March 2026, involved a stolen motorcycle, firearms, and a group of offenders who seized jewelry, electronics, cash, documents and a vehicle. The suspect was arrested on a preventive detention warrant and also placed in custody pending further investigation.
