Daniel Rosatelli arrested in drug trafficking investigation

Daniel Alejandro Rosatelli, a police commissioner and lawyer for the Entre Ríos Police, has been arrested by the Federal Police (PFA) as part of a federal drug trafficking investigation. Rosatelli is suspected of acting as a facilitator in the transport of more than 1,300 kilograms of marijuana, which was seized during an operation in February.

The investigation focuses on a vehicle allegedly provided by Rosatelli for the transport of the drugs. Authorities also noted that the vehicle used a license plate belonging to another car. To ensure transparency and impartiality, the Entre Ríos provincial police delegated the investigation to the Federal Police.

Security Minister Néstor Roncaglia addressed the arrest, stating that there is sufficient evidence for the federal judge's decision and denying claims that the arrest was a retaliatory measure related to previous complaints regarding the 911 emergency system. Rosatelli, the son of former police chief Juan Ramón Rosatelli, appeared before a federal judge but chose to abstain from testifying. He remains in custody in Paraná.
