Police conduct arrests for public disorder, drugs, and gang violence in El Salvador and Peru
In El Salvador, the National Civil Police (PNC) arrested three men—Andy Alexander Pineda Mendoza, Luis Antonio Velásquez Mendoza, and Hugo Alexander Serrano Gallardo—for public disorder in Ciudad Arce. The individuals, who were reportedly intoxicated, were apprehended while fighting in a public street.
In a separate incident in La Libertad, authorities detained a Guatemalan woman and a Salvadoran man for possession of marijuana. The suspects were traveling in a vehicle with Guatemalan license plates when they were intercepted in Chiltiupán.
In Peru, criminal investigation agents arrested two individuals, known as ‘Goofy’ and ‘Paul’, in Pachacamac. The pair, identified as members of the ‘Los Chukys de Manchay-Nueva Generación’ gang, confessed to firing shots during a musical performance by Armonía 10 in Manchay on August 9. During the operation, police recovered a Glock firearm, ammunition, and toxic substances.
