Police conduct drug raids and arrests in Ballymun and Derry

Law enforcement agencies in Ireland and Northern Ireland have conducted separate operations resulting in drug seizures and arrests.

In Ballymun, Ireland, Gardaí executed a search warrant at a residential property, seizing a substantial quantity of illegal drugs with an estimated street value exceeding €80,000. A woman in her 30s was arrested during the raid as part of an ongoing effort to dismantle drug trafficking networks in the region.

In Derry, the Police Service of Northern Ireland conducted proactive searches involving the District Support Team and the Paramilitary Crime Task Force. These operations led to the seizure of electronic devices, drug-related paraphernalia, and quantities of suspected Class A and Class B controlled drugs. A 38-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession and possession with intent to supply; he has since been released on bail. Reports are also being submitted to the Public Prosecution Service regarding three other individuals following searches of a house and a vehicle.
