Police conduct extortion prevention training for Gases de La Guajira workers

The National Police Gaula Group and the Criminal Investigation Section of La Guajira conducted the III Anti-Extortion Meeting for employees of the public utility company Gases de La Guajira in Colombia.

During the session, officers detailed common extortion methods and provided security recommendations, such as maintaining calm during threatening calls, avoiding the disclosure of personal information, and refusing to make payments under pressure. Captain William Fernando Ruales Ramos emphasized the importance of using the 165 helpline to report suspicious activities and encouraged the use of self-protection measures to combat crime within the department.
