Police conduct major drug seizures in Lahore and Malaysia
Law enforcement agencies in Pakistan and Malaysia have conducted major narcotics operations, resulting in multiple arrests and significant drug seizures.
In Lahore, Pakistan, police arrested eight individuals during three separate raids across the city. Authorities seized over 1.5 kilograms of crystal meth and approximately 5.8 kilograms of hashish. The arrests included suspects involved in selling narcotics to youth in outlying areas and individuals caught during patrols and snap checks. Cases have been registered and handed to the Investigation Wing.
In Malaysia, police launched ‘Op Tebuan’, targeting an international smuggling syndicate. The operation resulted in the seizure of 210kg of methamphetamine and 69kg of cannabis buds, with an estimated value of RM18.16 million. Six men, including a foreign national, were arrested during raids in Perak, Selangor, and Kedah. Investigators stated the syndicate sourced drugs from a neighboring country to supply the local Klang Valley market and used drug mules to smuggle substances abroad via air routes, including intended shipments to London.
