Police conduct speed checks on 876 vehicles in Iserlohn and Hemer, Germany
On Monday 1 June 2026 the Kreispolizei Märkischer Kreis carried out speed checks at five locations in the Iserlohn and Hemer area. A total of 876 vehicles were measured, with numerous speeding violations recorded but no driving bans issued.
The checks began on Grüner‑Tal‑Straße in Iserlohn, where 100 vehicles were measured between 07:25 and 08:40, resulting in three warnings. The highest recorded speed outside town was 87 km/h in a 70 km/h zone, and the fastest inner‑city speed was 62 km/h in a 50 km/h zone. Subsequent checkpoints on Dortmund‑Straße (B 233) and other streets saw 264, 212, 200 and 100 vehicles inspected, yielding a total of 44 warnings and several minor offences, including violations by motorcycles on a 30 km/h road.
