Police corruption in Argentina and cargo incident in Mexico

In Pinal de Amoles, Mexico, a truck driver was detained after a cargo-carrying tractor-trailer suffered rear tire damage on Federal Highway 120. The operator continued driving despite the damage, causing the load to shift and nearly fall. Local police reported that the driver exhibited signs of alcohol consumption and was placed at the disposal of the competent authorities. Civil Protection assisted in managing the scene to mitigate further risks.

In Argentina, three police officers in Salta were sentenced following an investigation into illegal extortion. Emiliano Alberto Cabrera, Doris Cristina del Milagro Lucena, and María Fernanda Sosa Navarro were convicted of illegal exactions after conducting unauthorized roadside checks on Provincial Route 5. The officers demanded money from drivers to avoid inspections or the seizure of goods. During the investigation, authorities recovered over one million pesos hidden in a discarded tire and within the officers' belongings.
