Polish Police Day marked with ceremonies and community events nationwide

Across Poland, the 107th anniversary of the State Police was commemorated with a series of official ceremonies, award presentations, promotions and family-friendly picnics. In Opole, a historic celebration featured a police picnic with vehicle displays, a crime‑laboratory showcase and dog demonstrations. Local schools in Grajewo, Wejherowo and other towns hosted shooting‑range meetings to inform students about police work and recruitment. County and regional gatherings in Kozienice, Rzeszów, Busko‑Zdrój, Katowice, Kłodzko, Bydgoszcz, Żary and Przecław included speeches by mayors, voivodes and senior police officials, the awarding of medals for long service, and the promotion of hundreds of officers to higher ranks. Many events also offered the public a chance to see police cars, motorcycles, helicopters, fire‑engine equipment and military vehicles, as well as demonstrations by service dogs, mounted units and first‑aid teams. The celebrations emphasized gratitude for daily police duties, highlighted the centenary of police district service and police sport, and reinforced community‑police ties throughout the country.
