Police Detain Suspect after Human Remains Found at Alhaurín de la Torre Quarry Access Road

The Guardia Civil detained a man on suspicion of involvement in a death after partial human remains were discovered on a road that provides access to a quarry in the town of Alhaurín de la Torre, Malaga province, Spain. The arrest followed the activation of the appropriate protocol and the arrival of Judicial Police and the Criminalistics Service to the scene.

The remains were transferred under a judge’s order to the Institute of Legal Medicine of Málaga for forensic examination to determine the identity of the deceased and the circumstances of death. If confirmed as a homicide, it would be the sixth violent death recorded in Malaga province during July, the previous five having involved women in Rincón de la Victoria, Mijas, Antequera and Benahavís.
