San Luis authorities investigate discovery of human remains in La República

Police in San Luis have discovered human remains in a wooded area west of the La República neighborhood. The discovery occurred during a search operation ordered by the judiciary.

The investigation follows the disappearance of 37-year-old Claudia Andrea Rodríguez, who has been missing since October 3. While authorities have not officially confirmed if the remains belong to Rodríguez, the location coincides with the area where her search was focused.

Initial reports indicate that the discovery began when a resident noticed a dog carrying what appeared to be a human limb. Subsequent searches by the Homicide Division led to the recovery of various body parts, including an arm and a hand, in both vacant lots and nearby open fields.

Prosecutor Antonella Córdoba is overseeing the case. Forensic experts and the Scientific Police are conducting autopsies and studies to determine the identity of the deceased and the cause of death.
