Police extortion charges in Argentina and hitmen arrests in Spain

In Argentina, a teacher has filed criminal charges against officers from the El Chañar police station for alleged extortion. According to legal representatives, the officers intercepted the teacher's vehicle on August 4, detained him without clear cause, and falsely claimed to have found narcotics. The complaint alleges that the officers demanded between 8 and 10 million pesos to avoid legal and professional consequences.

In Spain, the Guardia Civil has arrested two suspected hitmen involved in a fatal shooting in Isla Cristina, Huelva. The incident, described as a gang retaliation, resulted in the deaths of two women—one of whom was eight months pregnant—and a minor. The suspects, believed to be foreign nationals hired for the hit, were apprehended in San Bartolomé de la Torre. This brings the total number of detainees in the investigation to five.
