Police forces in Uruguay and Argentina undergo specialized training
Law enforcement agencies in Uruguay and Argentina have conducted specialized training programs to enhance professional capabilities.
In Lavalleja, Uruguay, the National Directorate of Scientific Police led a two-day workshop focused on chain of custody and crime scene preservation. The training, directed by Commissioner General Fernando Noble, was attended by 40 participants, including judges, prosecutors, forensic experts, and police officers from the departments of Lavalleja, Florida, Rocha, Maldonado, and Treinta y Tres. The curriculum covered topics such as ballistic forensics, chemical and biological laboratories, and semiology.
In Río Gallegos, Argentina, 13 members of the Santa Cruz Provincial Police completed a three-day course regarding firearm legislation and materials controlled by RENAR. Part of the Ministry of Security’s 2026 Annual Training Plan, the sessions addressed the current legal framework, judicial procedures involving firearms, and requirements for possession and carrying permits.
