Police in Agadir dismantle motorcycle theft gang

Security forces in the Anza district of Agadir have dismantled a criminal gang specializing in the theft of motorcycles and private property. The operation, following a series of citizen complaints in the Anza and Tidarate areas, resulted in the arrest of two individuals, including a 16-year-old minor.

Investigators utilized surveillance camera footage to identify the suspects. During the search, police seized iron tools used for breaking locks and various motorcycle parts and engines. The suspects reportedly dismantled stolen motorcycles to hide their identity before selling the components in the used parts market.

Authorities have identified a third accomplice residing in a rural area near Agadir, who is suspected of purchasing and reselling the stolen goods. Coordinated security operations are underway to apprehend this individual. The arrested suspects are currently in custody pending judicial investigation.
