Polish police launch operations against vandalism and hooliganism

Polish police are conducting various operations across several regions to address public safety and criminal activity.

In the Radziejów County, authorities are using drones and undercover patrols to protect corn harvests. This follows incidents where vandals placed metal objects, such as bolts and rods, on corn stalks to sabotage harvesters, potentially causing tens of thousands of zlotys in damage and risking operator safety.

In the Łódź Voivodeship, law enforcement disrupted two planned hooligan confrontations. In one instance in the Łask district and Bełchatów, masked individuals mistakenly attacked an unmarked police vehicle, believing it belonged to a rival group, before fleeing.

Simultaneously, multiple police departments, including those in Gliwice, Katowice, and Mysłowice, are conducting ‘Safe Pedestrian’ operations. These initiatives focus on increasing visibility at crossings and monitoring driver behavior, such as speeding and mobile phone use, to protect vulnerable road users. Additionally, routine traffic enforcement in Kłodzko and other areas continues to address speeding, driving under the influence, and unauthorized driving.
