Police in Český Krumlov prevent suicide attempt

Off-duty police officers successfully prevented a young man from jumping off the Pláštěnský Bridge in Český Krumlov. After a relative alerted authorities to the man's intentions, a specialized negotiator in civilian clothing was deployed to the scene.

To avoid triggering the man, who had reportedly warned that he would jump if he saw uniformed officers, the police implemented a plan where officers posed as tourists. This allowed them to approach the individual closely enough to physically restrain him and pull him to safety. The man was subsequently placed under the care of medical professionals.
