Police in Gdańsk and Gniezno conduct bicycle-related operations

In Gdańsk, municipal police and city guards conducted a preventive operation titled ‘Rowery’ (Bicycles) to monitor the safety of non-motorized road users. During the inspections, which took place in morning and evening shifts, authorities checked 46 cyclists and identified 19 violations. Technical inspections using a mobile brake tester revealed that 11 bicycles were in poor condition. Additionally, two cyclists were caught riding under the influence of alcohol and received fines of 1,000 PLN each.

In a separate incident in Gniezno, police arrested a 21-year-old resident following the theft of a bicycle from a parking lot on Sobieskiego Street. Using surveillance footage, investigators identified the suspect and successfully recovered the stolen vehicle.
