Police in Germany investigate separate driving incidents

Police in Germany are investigating two distinct driving-related incidents. In the Vogtland region, authorities are seeking witnesses after a 41-year-old woman drove a Skoda under heavy intoxication in Bad Elster. The driver reportedly entered oncoming traffic multiple times near Mühlhausen, endangering other motorists. A subsequent police check revealed a blood alcohol level of 2.78 per mille.

In a separate event near Bayreuth, a 34-year-old driver led police on a 20-minute pursuit. After attempting to evade a traffic stop on the A9, the driver traveled via the A70 before crashing his Ford into a field near Stadelhofen. The individual fled on foot but was apprehended in a nearby wooded area. Police are investigating the suspect for endangering road traffic and suspected illegal street racing.
