Police in India seize narcotics in separate operations

Police in India have conducted two separate narcotics operations, resulting in the seizure of cannabis and pharmaceutical drugs.

In Koraput, Odisha, police intercepted a goods vehicle near Tangini Chhak. Upon searching the vehicle, officers discovered a concealed chamber containing 128.3 kg of ganja. The consignment was reportedly being transported toward Andhra Pradesh. The driver and helper have been detained, and an investigation is underway to identify the source and the broader network involved.

In the Unakoti district of Tripura, authorities seized 800 bottles of Codeine Phosphate from a Suzuki Ertiga at the Chinibati checkpoint. The operation was conducted following specific intelligence regarding the transport of controlled substances. Three individuals were apprehended and taken into custody for interrogation as police work to determine the origin and intended destination of the shipment.
