Police in Minas Gerais arrest suspects for theft

The Military Police of Minas Gerais have conducted two separate operations resulting in arrests for theft in the state.

In Santa Margarida, officers recovered a stolen silver Honda CG 160 Fan motorcycle in the rural Córrego São Félix area. A 23-year-old man was arrested after admitting he stole the vehicle in Manhuaçu because the keys were left in the ignition. Police also discovered the motorcycle's license plate had been tampered with using electrical tape to hinder identification.

In a separate incident on the MG-455 highway near the border of Ibitiúra de Minas and Andradas, police arrested a man suspected of stealing 21 cattle from Munhoz. The suspect was traveling in a white cattle truck when intercepted. While the individual provided conflicting accounts regarding the ownership of the animals, the victim identified 14 of the cattle through photographs. The victim reported that the suspect had loaded the animals without completing a previously agreed-upon payment of R$ 33,600. Police seized cash, a mobile phone, and the truck, while 14 cattle were returned to the owner.
