Police in Montauban and Ardèche report separate criminal incidents

In Montauban, a 30-year-old man was detained after being caught speeding on a 125cc scooter. The driver was traveling at 74 km/h in a 50 km/h zone without a valid driver's license or insurance. The individual, whose license had been judicially canceled in September 2025, claimed he was speeding to avoid being late for his electronic monitoring bracelet schedule. He has been released pending a court summons.

In Ardèche, a 39-year-old man from Calais was arrested at a campsite in Vallon-Pont-d’Arc for filming under showers with a mobile phone. After being detained by vacationers and subsequently by gendarmes, investigators found videos on his phone, including footage of minors. The suspect, a legal recidivist previously convicted of voyeurism in Boulogne-sur-Mer, has been placed in provisional detention and is scheduled to appear before a criminal court in Privas.
