Police in Norway seize multiple driver's licenses during traffic checks
Police in the South-East district of Norway have conducted several traffic enforcement operations resulting in multiple driver's license seizures and fines. In Re, five licenses were confiscated over a three-day period due to speeding and driving under the influence. One individual was recorded traveling at 107 km/h in a 60 km/h zone, while two other men had their licenses seized after being observed driving while intoxicated at Re-torvet.
In Bamble, a speed control on Herreveien resulted in 18 speeding fines in an 80 km/h zone. One woman in her 40s had her license seized on the spot after being clocked at 148 km/h.
Additionally, emergency services responded to a vehicle battery fire at Autostrada in Porsgrunn. Employees managed to move the vehicle outside to prevent a larger fire before the fire department arrived.
