Police in Poland arrest suspects in separate attacks on minors

Police in Poland have detained several individuals following two separate violent incidents targeting minors.

In Jaworzno, three juveniles aged 15 and 16 were arrested for the robbery of a 14-year-old boy. The attack, which occurred on August 25, 2026, was reportedly motivated by the victim's football club colors. The group allegedly harassed the teenager before one individual struck him in the face and stole his club scarf. The victim was hospitalized for medical examination.

In Łódź, authorities arrested a 17-year-old and a 24-year-old in connection with a nationality-based assault on a 15-year-old Ukrainian citizen. The incident took place at Stawy Stefańskiego in late June 2026. The victim was reportedly targeted and beaten due to his nationality. Both suspects face charges of assault motivated by nationality, which is classified as a hooliganism offense, carrying a potential sentence of up to five years in prison.
