Police in Taiwan assist with vehicle breakdown and penalize hit-and-run
In Taipei's Neihu District, officers from the Dahu Police Station responded to a vehicle breakdown that left a car stranded in the middle of the road. To prevent traffic congestion and potential accidents, officers worked together to push the vehicle to the roadside, ensuring the safety of other commuters.
In a separate incident in Taichung's South District, a truck driver faced legal consequences after striking a smart bus stop sign. The collision caused the sign to deform and exposed electrical wires, creating a potential leakage hazard. Although the driver claimed he did not realize he had hit the facility, surveillance footage confirmed the impact. Following the Road Traffic Management and Penalty Act, the driver's license was suspended for one month for failing to remain at the scene of the accident.
