Police investigate armed man in Porsgrunn and shooting in Trondheim

Police in Norway are investigating two separate incidents involving weapons. In Porsgrunn, a man between 30 and 40 years old was arrested after being reported as potentially armed near a mosque. Witnesses reported being threatened with a pistol, and several people, including a woman and a child, were present in the building during the incident.

In Trondheim, a man in his 50s has been charged after a projectile struck a residential home on Tanem. The incident occurred while three children and two adults were inside the house. Police have seized a hunting weapon from a nearby hunting party of six people, as the timing of their shots aligns with when the projectile hit the building. Investigators are currently determining if the strike was an intentional act or a ricochet.
