Police in Zhejiang cook meal for three hungry siblings left alone
In Zhuji, Zhejiang Province, three young siblings were left alone and without food after their father left for an emergency and their grandmother was working in a neighboring town. The 12-year-old sister, unable to order food delivery in her area, contacted the police for help.
Officers from the Yaojiang Police Station arrived at the residence and found the children, including two 9-year-old twin brothers, were unable to prepare food themselves. The officers located noodles and eggs in the home and cooked a meal for the children.
To ensure the children's continued well-being, the police coordinated with a local community canteen to arrange meals for the following day. Officers also contacted the father to report the incident and remind the family of the importance of ensuring the children's basic needs are met during emergencies.
