Police incidents in Gurugram and Pune spark viral videos

Two separate incidents involving law enforcement in India have gained significant attention on social media.

In Gurugram, Haryana, a man caused a disturbance at Sohna Chowk after traffic police attempted to seize his Mahindra Thar. The vehicle lacked a license plate and had dark window films. When officers requested documentation, the driver refused and began protesting by climbing on the vehicle's bonnet and eventually hanging from the window as police drove the car toward a parking area. Gurugram police stated they remain strict regarding traffic violations.

In Pune, Maharashtra, a female police officer from the Kalapadal police station has been suspended following a viral video. The footage allegedly shows her driving a car in the wrong direction in the Manjari area. The officer is also accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, a claim she reportedly acknowledged in the video. Deputy Commissioner of Police Jivan Beniwal confirmed that an FIR has been filed and an investigation is underway to determine the circumstances of the incident.
