Additionally, a Turkish national is being investigated in Giurgiu for allegedly attempting to bribe a border officer while transporting 11.5 million lei worth of suspected counterfeit goods.
In Moldova, police have dismantled a call-center scam in Chișinău, detaining nine individuals suspected of defrauding investors through fake cryptocurrency and stock platforms. In Fălești, a 20-year-old man has been sent to trial for his role as a courier in an organized crime group that manipulated a victim into taking a 90,000 lei loan under the guise of canceling fraudulent debts.
