Police intervene in illegal fireworks incidents in Opera and Pioltello

Authorities in Italy have intervened in two separate incidents involving the illegal use of fireworks in public spaces.

In Opera, during the Notte Bianca event, a young man was reported to the police after setting off fireworks near parked cars and residential buildings. The individual claimed he intended to surprise his girlfriend for her 18th birthday. The Municipality of Opera issued a statement reminding citizens that even retail fireworks must be used in compliance with safety regulations to avoid endangering the community.

In Pioltello, a group of approximately thirty youths gathered at the Central Park near the Municipal building to set off fireworks and red flares. The resulting smoke and loud music alarmed local residents, leading to emergency calls. Carabinieri officers arrived at the scene to restore order and identify those involved, ending the gathering.
