Police intervene in two separate attacks on women in Greece

In the suburb of Anathoupoli, a woman reported that her husband had assaulted her and then pursued her on a motorbike. She contacted the Immediate Action Unit, which coordinated with patrol officers and a DIAS motorbike team to escort her safely to the First Police Station in Patras. Police detained the husband at the station and placed him in custody.

In the Palaio Faliro district of Athens, another woman was assaulted as she entered her apartment building. The attacker attempted to snatch her bag, prompting cries that alerted residents on the balcony. The assailant fled the scene and police have opened an investigation to identify him.
