Police and criminal incidents reported in Czechia and Slovakia

Various criminal and police-related incidents have been reported across the Czech Republic and Slovakia. In Lučenec, Slovakia, two men impersonating criminal police officers entered a 23-year-old man's apartment under the guise of a home search, stealing his wallet after searching for a safe.

In the Czech Republic, several violent incidents occurred. A 17-year-old male was apprehended in Tachov for a random stabbing of a woman near a pond in Plzeň. Additionally, a 21-year-old man in Teplice was placed in custody after making death threats against his sister, mother, and former partner. In Dvůr Králové, police are investigating a murder involving a minor, though legal proceedings will follow specific juvenile justice protocols.

In other news, police in České Budějovice successfully prevented a suicide by rescuing a young woman from a railway railing. Meanwhile, the municipal police in Litvínov faced public scrutiny after a new service vehicle was delivered with a typo in its official lettering, ‘Měststká policie’, and was missing required aerial identification markings.
