Police investigate abandoned sick dog in Selm

Police in Unna are investigating the abandonment of a severely ill dog found in a cardboard box in Selm, North Rhine-Westphalia. The animal was discovered on Tuesday morning, October 20, in a roadside ditch on Werner Straße near a restaurant.

Following the discovery, the dog was initially taken to a police station, and the Werne regulatory office (Ordnungsamt) assisted with its care. However, a subsequent veterinary examination revealed multiple illnesses. Due to the critical state of the animal's health, the dog had to be euthanized.
