Law enforcement agencies in Hawaii are investigating anonymous telephone threats made against two schools on Thursday morning.

At Konawaena High School in South Kona, school officials notified police at 8:00 a.m. regarding an anonymous threat received by phone. The campus entered a lockdown while officers conducted a sweep of the premises. No suspicious activity was found, and the school was cleared by 9:45 a.m. The Area II Juvenile Aid Section is continuing the investigation to identify the caller.

Simultaneously, the Honolulu Police Department responded to a threat at the Hawaii School for Girls La Pietra. School officials reported receiving a telephone threat involving a ‘potential act of violence on campus’ just before 8:00 a.m. Officers assessed the area and issued an all-clear. No arrests have been made in either incident, and authorities are asking for public assistance in identifying those responsible.
