Police Investigate Anti-China Coffins Placed Across Metro Manila

On the early morning of August 7, five coffins bearing anti‑China and anti‑communist messages were discovered in Manila, Caloocan, Quezon City and Makati. The coffins displayed the words “Chinese Communist Party,” “Greedy” and “Salot,” and contained photographs of two unidentified individuals along with a red flag marked “Chinese community.”

The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) reviewed CCTV footage that showed two men and a woman arriving in a white van, leaving the coffins, and departing. Police are examining additional video, gathering evidence and have said criminal charges will be filed once sufficient proof is obtained.
