Police investigate child safety incidents in Vienna and Berlin
Two separate incidents involving children have been reported in Vienna and Berlin.
In Vienna, two unidentified young men allegedly attempted to lure a nine-year-old girl into a car by offering her sweets. The incident occurred on October 6 in the Donaustadt district near a primary school. The girl managed to escape, and Vienna police have launched a search for the suspects. Authorities have increased patrols in the area and are coordinating with the local school and parent associations to ensure child safety.
In Berlin, a 34-year-old man rescued a six-year-old girl after she fell from a third-floor window in the Neukölln district. The man caught the child before she hit the ground, and she was hospitalized with minor injuries. Police found two other young children, aged two and five, unattended in the room. The mother is currently under investigation for suspected failure to supervise the children, as they were reportedly left alone while the parents were out shopping.
