Police investigate cyberbullying in Republika Srpska elementary schools

Police are investigating reports of cyberbullying within elementary schools in Republika Srpska. The investigation follows allegations of students using social media groups and online platforms to insult, label, and harass their peers.

Sanja Kaurin, a parent at the ‘Desanka Maksimović’ Elementary School in Trn, brought the issue to public attention after her daughter became a target of the online harassment. Kaurin noted that such content has circulated among students for approximately two years, but has recently escalated into more severe forms of peer violence.

Other parents have reported similar incidents occurring in various schools throughout Banja Luka and wider regions. The harassment involves students of different ages, with participants using anonymous profiles to target specific children, leading to concerns regarding the unpredictable psychological impact on students during puberty.
