Police investigate drug arrests and explosions in the Netherlands

Several criminal and emergency incidents have been reported across the Netherlands. In a drug-related investigation, police arrested five men from Schoonhoven and Bergambacht, seizing two vehicles, money, and narcotics.

In Den Haag, a large quantity of illegal fireworks, including Cobra-brand pyrotechnics, was discovered in a cellar box on Meppelweg, leading to the arrest of a 22-year-old man from Monster. Additionally, an explosion occurred at a restaurant on Hengelolaan in Den Haag during the early hours of Monday; while no injuries were reported, the building sustained significant glass damage. Police are investigating whether the restaurant was a deliberate target.

In the Gelderland region, multiple accidents and incidents occurred. An explosion was reported at the ESA slaughterhouse in Apeldoorn, which police are currently investigating. Other reports include a fatal car accident involving a vehicle entering the water on the A325 near Elst, and several other traffic collisions in Putten, Beekbergen, and Kootwijk.
